The farm's significance extends well past agriculture. The land itself holds traces of a much older story — archaeological findings on the property point to settlements and cultural life that predate the colonial era by centuries.

The name "Cuyancua" itself speaks to this depth. Rooted in the Náhuat language, it refers to a mythological figure linked to water — capturing the enduring relationship between this land, its water sources, and the life they have sustained across generations.
